My 23 year old truck runs like new with the original spark plug wires, 10 year old spark plugs and five year old cap and rotor. This is proof electronic ignition parts do brake-down and provide poor performance over time. The truck had become hard to start for years. Finally, it would not start and would only make a spark when the key was turned off. It's time to let some smoke out of the tires!
