(More customer reviews)I bought this part to replace the factory polycarbonate thermostat housing which was leaking on my 2004 Chevy Aveo. I received the part in THREE DAYS, super fast shipping. This is a high quality, 2-part metal replacement for the factory thermostat housing which is very prone to fail. The item included a new thermostat, so you actually get 3 pieces total, but no gaskets. I purchased two generic thermostat gaskets, one for between the two metal parts, and one for part/engine interface, and trimmed them to fit, and used a small amount of (red) high temperature silicon gasket maker on the surfaces opposite the peel-and-stick sides of the gaskets. The only problem I had was with the old clamp on the radiator hose, which would not squeeze tight enough and was leaking. I replaced it with a regular band clamp and had no further problems. Highly recommend this item to other Aveo owners. Regular polycarbonate housing replacement cost in the neighborhood of $45.00 so you might as well buy this and not have to worry about the plastic part breaking again.
