(More customer reviews)I spent a more than a couple of hours looking at testing and results of many different varieties of paper air filters as well as other type filtering like K+N and others similar designs. I was interested in how good of a job of stopping particles and the amount of air that is let through along with other criteria. I found some independent labs that have this air filter at the top of the game among all other paper filters as far as stopping particles, but of course there is a cost to the amount of air being left through. When you go to the other end of the spectrum the designs like the K+N do allow an increase in the volume of air for the engine, but the studies I looked at suggest they let a significant amount of contamination through. I buy a vehicle to make it last as long as possible so I of course am looking for the best protection for my engine and with my GMC 5.3 engine, I have the power I want anyway. My 2 cents!
