(More customer reviews)GREAT item on Amazon. Bought the Victory Lap FDS-03 Starter Repair kit and fixed my 1998 Ford Taurus SE starter - DOHC 3.0 engine. The OHV engine uses a different starter - and whole starter is available on Amazon for good prices.
It is really tricky to put the rotor back in after installing the new brushes. I used paper clips to pull the brush leads out while one-by-one slipping the rotor in. An extra set of hands helps.
Saved over $100 by doing this. Didn't need the provided new clutch and bearings this time.
