(More customer reviews)The local Chevy dealer wanted $800+ and my Blazer for 5 days to swap in a new radiator. It seemed like a complicated task, but I'm kinda feerless and was tired of driving around hoping the Barr's StopLeak wouldn't fail me.
The job took this weekend mechanic about 3 hours. I replaced the radiator hoses too. The toughest part was trying to get the factory spring hose clamp onto the bottom hose at the engine block with channel lock pliers. I gave up after about 90 minutes of fiddling with it (I'm persistent, but it was late night with no stores open). Got the right screw hose clamps and everything went together quickly. The other less than simple part of the job as dealing with the lower radiator shroud. Be gentle, there's a lot of plastic holding things together, and it all works out.
Thanks Amazon, for having all the AC Delco parts available and quickly shipped. My local auto parts store wouldn't have been as quick or as inexpensive.
