Whole House FM Transmitter 2.0 Review

Whole House FM Transmitter 2.0
Average Reviews:

I've already been thru two of the popular C. Crane FM transmitters, which are fair at best. And yes I successfully implemented the not-so-secret method of hacking thru the C. Crane units to increase transmitting distance. Even so, static, drop-outs and the need for constant readjusting the radio antenna was the status quo.
Well, the new Whole House FM Transmitter 2.0 completely blows the C. Crane FM transmitter away. The signal and sound is clear as a bell all over my (very large) apartment, unlike with the C. Crane unit, hacked or otherwise. The secret? A huge wire antenna included that you attach to the small antenna wire on the unit, even though the instructions say the extension antenna is "not intended to be used in the USA" thanks to new ridiculous FCC regulations. (Ha-then why include the wire at all -- not that I'm complaining. To paraphrase the late Al "Grandpa" Lewis, "#!&@ the FCC!") The Whole House 2.0 with the included extension antenna is simply the best home fm transmitter available.

SanDisk Sansa Speaker Dock for Sansa e100 and m200 Series Players Review

SanDisk Sansa Speaker Dock for Sansa e100 and m200 Series Players
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Like other reviewers, I was impressed with the sound out of such seemingly small speakers. However, my Sansa is much newer (e280, and apparently not backward compatible with all the accesories...) and it did not fit on the dock or in the clips - nor did any of the additional connection configurations work to power/charge the player while playing it through the speakers. The headphone jack connector worked to play the music from my player through the speakers, but that was it. So, my recommendation is that this system is great if you have the correct version of the Sansa player. If not, the jumble of cords and lack of charging capability make this system less desirable. I am returning mine and plan to buy something that my Sansa will dock into directly.
UPDATE: I purchased the Altec Lansing im510 Dock for my e280 Sansa at Best Buy and it sounds (and charges) great. It's about $80 now.

iPod to GM/ Chevrolet / Cadillac / GMC / Oldsmobile / Pontiac Factory Radio Interface w/ Auxiliary Audio input

The USA Spec PA11-GM45 was made for GM vehicles (other models for different manufactures). This interface allows you to play your IPod directly through you factory installed radio with all the options that your radio offers...scan, skip, random etc. The sound is excellent and makes you wonder why you would think of using a FM modulator. Installation took less then 15 minutes, connection require NO tools. This interface also comes with additional connectors for Satellite radio. I can't tell you how happy I am with this product. My IPod music comes with me everywhere now. Great product.

The PA11 series iPod interfaces provide direct connection for an iPod plus an optional audio source such as satellite radio, DVD, or video game system. Both the iPod and the additional audio source can be selected from the factory radioa??s front panel. The interface adapter connects the iPod to your factory radio as if it were a CD changer, allowing direct selection of iPod playlists through the radioa??s preset (or disc) buttons and is compatible with iPod models featuring the dock connector, including the iPod nano and 5G iPod video. There are two operating modes available for the interface, Playlist Mode and Direct Mode. Playlist Mode uses the controls on the factory radio to provide basic navigation functions including song up/down, playlist up/down, repeat, shuffle, scan, and FF/REW functions. Direct Mode uses the iPod's click wheel to navigate through the iPod's menus and select songs, artists, playlists, etc. and the radio buttons are used only for volume, bass and treble. Both modes still charge the iPod while connected, and stops one hour after the iPod is paused to prevent over-charging. Note: Display of artist and song title information, track search by artist, song title, album or genre are NOT supported. Only the Playlist and track numbers are displayed.GM Applications: Astro - 1997-2001 Avalanche - 2002 Blazer/S-10 Truck - 2000-2001 Bonneville - 1997-1999 Bravada/Silhouette - 1997-1999 Camaro - 1997-2002 Cavalier - 1997-1999 Denali/Yukon - 2000-2002 Escalade - 1997-2002 Firebird/Grand Am - 1997-2000 Grand Prix - 1997-2002 Impala/Monte Carlo - 1999-2001 Jimmy/Sonoma - 2000-2001 Malibu - 1997-2000 Montana - 1998-1999 Safari - 1997-2001 Sierra - 2000-2002 Silverado - 2000-2002 Sunfire - 1998-1999 Suburban/Tahoe - 1997-2002 Note: 1999 and earlier AM/FM/CD radios do not control a changer and are not compatible.

Pyle PL463BL 4-Inch x 6-Inch 240 Watt Three-Way Speakers Review

Pyle PL463BL 4-Inch x 6-Inch 240 Watt Three-Way Speakers
Average Reviews:

I purchased these for an '88 Fiero. The speaker quality is great as compared to the stock Delco speakers. In addition the price was fantastic! The only thing that may be troubling is the Pyle's magnets are large compared to the stock. You will need to slit the pillar in the frame of the car behind the grilles for them to fit. This may intimidate some people.

Pyle\'s Blue Label series speakers don\'t just sound great – they look great, too. Feast your eyes upon the azure curves of Pyle\'s Blue Label series and you\'ll agree. They\'re great replacements for your vehicle\'s factory speakers – you\'ll hear the difference immediately. Included in this package is a pair of 4" x 6" three-way 240 watt speakers – carrying the high, mid, and low end for a fuller range sound. The non-fatiguing butyl rubber surround keeps your speakers secure as well as extending the life of the product. A 1" high-temperature ASV voice coil provides the richest sound, ensuring low distortion and providing an open sound stage. The blue poly injection cone looks great and allows your music to resonate with full power. The 20 oz. magnet structure, 1" neodymium film dome midrange, and ¾" piezo tweeter are what power these speakers and allow for a 95 Hz – 20 kHz frequency response. Includes grills, wires, and mounting hardware. Trust Pyle to provide quality sound at a competitive price.
