AN OEM quality part that fixed the fuel guage problem on my 97 S10 pickup (always read Full) at about 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of replacing the complete fuel pump assembly. The worst part of the job is pulling the fuel tank from the vehicle which can be a real pain.
Tip: The kit includes a new O-ring, but not the special large snap-ring retainer that holds the fuel pump module into the tank. The snap-ring on my vehicle was rusted to the point that it needed to be replaced (Minnesota Winters) and cost $15 to get locally. Had I ordered one from Amaazon it would have been about $7 or $8.
Also, be very careful not to let any sand or debris fall into the fuel pump module while you removing it from the tank, so remove the snap-ring and then clean the area well before pulling the fuel pump module free. Upon re-assembly I installed new O-ring into the fuel tank first and then applied a small amount of grease to the O-ring. This allowed the fuel pump unit to slip into place with very little efort.
